This month's FastFit Featured Member is Barry Manasco. I met Barry 8 years ago when I was only doing 1-On-1 Personal Training and he was a client of mine. We worked together briefly as he moved on and I left personal training in a gym to go off to start FastFit but I always remembered how much a fitness enthusiast he was.
This past year Barry found me again and wanted to get back on track to a better self, and boy did he ever!!
Stronger, leaner, faster metabolism, more energy. Basically all the things you want out of fitness!
Here's Barry's journey in his own words:
"I joined Fastfit in April 2015 because I had been gaining weight over the last couple of years in spite of consistent exercise. I was 194 lbs when I started and was able to lose 5 lbs just going to the classes. When I participated in a group weight loss challenge, I lost 15 more lbs because I followed the diet provided by Fastfit along with the exercise classes. This experience helped me see how many extra calories I was eating that was keeping me from losing weight in spite of exercise. Also, the type of exercises we do in the classes has helped me gain muscle and strengthen my core. I feel stronger now than I have felt in a long time. Jeff McDaniel's enthusiasm, and the group class setting helps to keep me motivated to attend the classes. My future goal with the help of Fastfit is to continue to get stronger and lower my body fat percentage before next summer."
